To my surprise, the Intel 2.5gb I225-V drivers DO NOT work out of box with this motherboard it was a HUGE POA to fix as I had no network connectivity with the board I spent hours and hours trying tons of stuff until I found a YouTube video of a person who had the same issues and they said it was a common problem (I am guessing by the amount of people that had the same issues in the YouTube comments, this was quite widespread). I setup my machine and installed Windows. At the time, I had only put in 2 sticks of memory at the time (Bank's B1 and B2) as I was waiting on the other 2 sticks. I got the second board and this time no issues with the CPU fins I installed it and it booted right up without any issues. No problem - sometimes this happens so I sent it back to Amazon and ordered a replacement free of charge (Thanks Amazon)!. The first Z490 board I received had bent CPU fins inside the motherboard I didn't realize this until right before I went to put the CPU otherwise I may have also damaged my $600 CPU. I have other ASUS products such as 2 monitors and my previous MOBO was also an ASUS which I did not have any issues with (I was running an i7). I purchased the Z490-A to compliment the new Intel i9-10090kf CPU after reading some review from various sources indicating this was a good motherboard.
